Commanders Field Guide

Landover, MD. Home of the Burgundy and Gold.

While talk of a new stadium always swirls, Commanders Field remains the home of the burgundy and gold. Recent upgrades have reduced capacity to improve sightlines and flow.

Transportation Warning

The Metro: The Morgan Blvd station (Silver/Blue line) is the closest stop, but it is roughly a 20-25 minute walk (1 mile) to the stadium gates. The walk is safe and filled with fans, but be prepared for the distance.

Driving: Traffic around the Beltway (I-495) is notoriously slow. Plan to arrive at least 3 hours before kickoff to avoid missing the first quarter.

Tailgating: The Red Zone

The RedZone Lot is the premier tailgate area, bringing the most dedicated fans together. It opens 4 hours before kickoff.

Food & Drink

  • Ben's Chili Bowl: A DC institution. You must get a half-smoke "all the way" (chili, mustard, onions).
  • Boardwalk Fries: Another local favorite staple.

Seating

The stadium has removed many upper-deck seats to create standing room party decks, which offer a more social atmosphere if you don't mind standing.
